About Kits Cubed

Kits Cubed is a youth-led, nonprofit organization based in Oakland, CA. Our mission is to introduce youth to the wonders of science through fun, affordable, and accessible means.

Kits Cubed was founded in April 2020 by a then Oakland Technical High School student, Ahmed Muhammad, who wanted to inspire his younger niece and nephew to fall in love with science.

Since its start, Kits Cubed has grown into a dedicated team of young leaders committed to equalizing STEM education and nurturing the inner scientist within everyone.

Our work wouldn’t be possible without our exceptional team, supportive board of directors, generous donors, creative partner organizations, and the unwavering strength of our Bay Area community. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the teachers, principals, and all supporters who drive our mission forward.

Most importantly, our gratitude goes out to the young scientists, as it is for them that we tirelessly strive to make a difference.
